Finding the Perfect Cross Stitch Pattern on EBay
With the countless number of choices that are available on eBay, it is hard to find the perfect cross-stitch pattern for a project. A few simple steps can help you reduce the number of hits and increase the possibility of finding the right charts.
First, identify exactly what you want. Some Examples are: A rubber duck motif for a baby bib; A Christmas Elf creating toys for girls and boys; Country rag dolls; etc. etc. etc. Write down as many keywords as possible to define the cross-stitch pattern you desire. If you desire a certain pattern creator or company, be sure to include that in your keywords. The most common keyword for finding a cross-stitch chart is "pattern" and in some occasions, cross-stitch is shortened to "XS".
Start with the top two to three keywords or phrases. If they are very specific, do a search for both title and description. If the keywords and phrases from your list are more general, stay to the title search. If that search brings too many hits, add one more of your keywords.
Scan the results that your search comes back up with. Any titles with keywords that strike you as most appropriate look at that result.
With any luck, the streamlining of keywords will have reduced the number of results and allow you to find the perfect pattern. If the first set does not find the perfect pattern, try new combinations of your keywords until that pattern is found.
