Cross Stitch Baby Bibs Hand & BathTowels Beautiful!
Show Guide... Avid & Novice cross stitching can cost you a paycheck if you're not careful! Want Easy Savings? I make my grandkids bibs out of heavy terrycloth washcloths or handtowels, and zigzag stitch 14 count aida in 4 inch by length of towel wide strips across them. The necks are simple cuffs for jackets, and I have used shoelaces as ties at times. Velcro dots work well too unless your little one has long hair. :-) They turn out really cute...and it is a lot cheaper than buying the bibs readymade to stitch. Compare prices at ready made for $4.99 or handmade at $1.49. How much does that save you?? You can use this idea in making guest bath and hand towels, or even delicate bookmarks. Here is another comparison: Readymade hand towels are $4.49 and up....yours made using this idea? Only $2.29 (includes everything you need) and if you buy your handtowels in a bundle pack try $1.79 each including all materials. Best of all....the babies can actually USE the bibs, and MY guests get to take home their special towels as a gift from their hostess. Got a great idea?? Let me know at lynnielpn in Ebay....I LOVE stitching, especially if I dont feel guilty spending less than I have to!! Hope this helps! Lynnie :-) P>S> Check out my auctions (lynnielpn in Ebay) for hard to find cross stitching charts and kits....since I have been stitching for over 35 years, I have a LOT of cool things I saved. FUN!
